“Assault Troops” comes mainly from my disgust at the way we treat survivors of sexual assault, and how survivors are routinely asked questions about their behavior that no other category of crime victim is forced to answer. Meanwhile, no one bothers to ask a cop if he might have provoked someone into attacking them. The mind boggles.
