9/30/26: “Starbird,” by Adam SoRelle
Starbird, believe it or not, is my first published solo electric song. That is, it’s just me without any other musical contribution - and it’s not just acoustic.
The inspiration behind the myth of the “Eternally Old” mythical creature is actually from exit #218 on I5 – Starbird Road. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven past and made a mental note to write something. – On the way back home to Anacortes from our trip to Leavenworth in February I saw it again – and Finally! The gears started turning. We stayed in a small, rustic cabin with incredible views of a sweeping canyon and vast snow capped mountains, covered in a mysterious fog.
